Chad's Oddball Art
In addition to being the primary songwriter and lead singer of the Crawpuppies,
Chad Clifford also has a career as a solo artist.

Born January 2 Chad was drawn to music and a very early age. When he first
saw a midnight re-run of the Beatles movie Help on TV, he was hooked.

He has been considered an expert on the Beatles and has been the guest
speaker at a class at the Lake County Library.  Chad also has teamed up with his
friends Lou Samaniego and Derek See to entertain crowds as the BeatleNerds a
semi-acoustic tribute to the Beatles.

In High School, Chad teamed up with pal Mike Moore and the started the group
Digital Hair. The band achieved a lot of success early on. Playing to sold out
crowds at dances, and festivals. In 1988, they opened for the popular band the
Romantics. After High School graduation the band relocated "briefly" to
Hollywood California.

Through the 90's, Digital Hair saw a new "heavier" incarnation. The 90's version
received even more acclaim and opened for REO Speedwagon and was voted
top regional band by the Indiana Music Awards at Deer Creek in Indianapolis.

Both incarnations of Digital Hair have had reunion shows from time to time.

In the late 90's Chad teamed up with Danny Georgi, Phil Reiner and Scott
Churilla and started the Funk Rock quartet Sugar Train.

Also in 1995 Chad graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in
Music Business Management.

In 1996, the Crawpuppies were formed out of a jam night at Angelo's in Merrillville
and the band has been playing ever since. Chad is currently the store manager
at
Front Porch Music in Valparaiso, a store he has helped develop over 9 years.
He is happily married. He and his wife Michelle live in Portage with their three
sons Evan, Nolan and Liam.

After the release of Peaceful Amnesty in September of 2004, he looks foreword
to writing and producing the next album with the Crawpuppies.  In 2007 Chad was
named favorite songwriter in Midwest Beat Readers Poll. He was also named
runner up in the favorite male vocalist and Solo Acoustic Musician categories.
Also on May 1, 2007 Chad became the new owner of Front Porch Music..
